About FIA
The Foundation for Inherited Arrhythmias (FIA), formerly known as the SADS Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families affected by inherited arrhythmia conditions. Established in 1991, FIA focuses on crucial heart conditions that can lead to fainting, seizures, or sudden cardiac arrest, particularly among children and young adults. The organization provides comprehensive support across five key areas: saving lives through early detection and emergency preparedness, educating healthcare providers, empowering patients and families, fostering community connections, and promoting cutting-edge research.
FIA is committed to ensuring that those impacted by conditions such as Long QT Syndrome, Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia, and Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy receive the knowledge, care, and resources necessary to thrive. Through initiatives like the FIA Care Tool and educational webinars, the foundation strives to navigate the complexities of living with arrhythmias while emphasizing the importance of advocacy and research. With a mission to improve care and accelerate cures, FIA stands as a vital resource for affected individuals and their families
