Fiat Doula Services

Fiat Doula Services provides holistic, evidence-based birth and postpartum support to families in Los Angeles, California. Led by Rebecca Christian, a certified labor and postpartum doula, lactation educator and counselor, and sleep coach, the practice offers care from the time families hire through birth and the postpartum period. Services include birth and postpartum doula support, professional newborn care, overnight nanny care, sleep coaching and training, lactation services, placenta encapsulation, and support for miscarriage, loss, and fertility.

Families receive four prenatal appointments and a postpartum visit as part of the standard birth service. The practice also serves families giving birth at Providence Little Company of Mary, where Rebecca is a staffed doula. Fiat Doula Services emphasizes personalized, wraparound care, advocacy, and support for families with varied needs, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ families and those choosing out-of-hospital midwifery care.

Sliding-scale payment options are available, and the practice states that its standard birth services are provided regardless of a family’s financial means. Since 2016, it has served more than 250 families
