FIBROFAMUR

FIBROFAMUR is the Murcian Association for Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and Other Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases. Based in Murcia, Spain, the association supports people affected by fibromyalgia and related conditions, while raising awareness of the challenges they face. Its website offers information about diagnosis and treatment, alongside an educational “Fibromyalgia Classroom” intended to help patients learn more about the condition.

The association also promotes research into fibromyalgia, a chronic illness of unknown cause whose primary symptom is widespread persistent pain, often accompanied by other symptoms. FIBROFAMUR organizes activities and invites people to join, collaborate, and take part in its work, including through its Fibro-Joven initiative. It also shares practical health information, such as guidance on physiotherapy and managing temporomandibular dysfunction.

Community solidarity helps advance its mission: fundraising events, including the Fuente Librilla Popular Cross, have directed proceeds toward fibromyalgia research. Through information, education, community engagement, and support for research, FIBROFAMUR works to assist affected people and encourage greater understanding of the condition
