Fibrofriends

Associazione Fibrofriends APS is a community-based organization located in Bolzano, Italy, dedicated to supporting people living with fibromyalgia and the relatives and friends who share their daily challenges. Its mission is to raise awareness of the condition, promote patient well-being, and advocate for recognition of this often invisible illness. The association explains that fibromyalgia is a chronic condition involving widespread musculoskeletal pain and other symptoms that can substantially affect quality of life. While there is no definitive cure, symptom management may involve medication, adapted physical activity, complementary therapies, and psychological support.

Fibrofriends brings people together through community, information, and shared experiences. It organizes events and activities, including opportunities to explore artistic and expressive practices in a supportive group setting. The organization also offers support to patients and those close to them, and provides information about fibromyalgia through publications and an informational manual called “Fibro-Free.” Visitors can learn about services and partner arrangements, become members, or contribute through donations and Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation.
