Alan Gruning

The International Center for Health and Wellness is a medical practice in Fort Myers, Florida, led by Alan Gruning, DO, who is board certified in emergency medicine and practices functional medicine. The center focuses on compassionate, holistic care for people seeking answers to persistent symptoms and conditions. Its stated approach is to investigate underlying causes rather than address symptoms alone.

The practice provides care for Lyme disease and co-infections, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction, environmental toxicity and biotoxin illness, post-COVID and post-vaccine syndromes, and hormone imbalances involving thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormones. The website also offers condition information, treatment resources, articles, videos, handouts, forms, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Dr. Gruning is also the founder and director of the Mold Illness Treatment Centers, described as a separate free clinic serving low-income and underinsured people affected by chronic inflammatory response syndrome. Its services include medical care, coaching, lifestyle education, and counseling. The center’s message emphasizes hope, healing, and support for people whose health concerns have been difficult to resolve.
