Fiddlehead Gardens Landscaping

Fiddlehead Gardens is an Iowa City, Iowa-based landscape company serving the surrounding area. Since 2008, it has designed, built, and maintained residential landscapes, with a focus on naturalistic gardens, planting, and hardscapes. The company aims to create attractive, practical outdoor spaces while practicing land stewardship and delivering attentive, detail-focused work.

Fiddlehead’s process begins with a site visit and a conversation about the client’s aesthetic preferences and the needs of the landscape. Its design team then develops a design and proposal, while staff keep clients informed through planning, pre-construction, installation, and a final walkthrough. Trained crews bring designs to life, with continuing education supporting their craft.

Projects and services described by the company and its clients include garden beds, patios, retaining walls, stone and paver paths, limestone edging, tree and other plantings, butterfly gardens, mulching, bed edging, pruning, spring cleanup, and boulder placement. Fiddlehead works collaboratively with clients to shape outdoor areas for relaxation, recreation, and everyday use, with attention to site conditions such as drainage and existing structures.
