Field Advisor

Field Advisor is an Illinois Soybean Association resource offering agronomic and farm management information for soybean production. Funded by the Association’s checkoff program, it connects Illinois farmers with practical guidance, research findings, and opportunities to participate in on-farm studies. Its content covers issues such as soil health, weed and insect management, crop nutrition, harvest decisions, soybean diseases, and production practices, with insights from agronomists, researchers, and farmers.

Farmers can explore the Field Notes blog, regional crop reports, research projects, webinars, events, and updates from Soy Envoys. The site also shares opportunities through the ISA On-Farm Trial Network, where participating farmers can work with researchers to evaluate production strategies. Other resources include free soybean cyst nematode testing, phosphorus and potassium trials, and information about conservation and crop management. Field Advisor serves as a centralized source for timely soybean news and research relevant to Illinois agriculture, helping growers stay informed and make better-supported decisions throughout the growing season.
