About Physiome Project
FieldML is a software project within the Physiome Project, created to support modelling software development and the exchange of models across the bioengineering and engineering communities. At its core is a declarative language for building hierarchical models represented by generalized mathematical fields. FieldML is developed as a data model together with an accompanying application programming interface (API), providing resources for people who want to use or contribute to the technology.
The project makes information available about the API, its latest release, and ways to participate in its development. It also provides access to a model repository containing a small collection of FieldML models in exnode format, including models of the heart and liver. Users can explore support resources such as the FieldML tracker, developer mailing list, and document archive.
As part of a wider ecosystem that includes scientific software and data repositories, FieldML helps make mathematical models more accessible for development and interchange
