FietsFriezen

FietsFriezen is a growing cycling association based in Goutum, Friesland, with a history dating back to its founding as an association in 2011. It brings together men and women who enjoy being active outdoors, whether they are focused on covering distance or sharing a sociable ride. The club welcomes new members and offers three regular weekly rides throughout the year, departing from the village square beside Dorpshuis Ien en Mien.

Riders can choose groups suited to different paces and distances, with activities including road cycling, organised touring events, and winter mountain-bike and gravel rides. The club also plans challenging cycling trips abroad when possible. Beyond riding, FietsFriezen arranges member evenings, presentations, demonstrations, clinics and excursions, as well as winter core-training and spinning classes in collaboration with gyms in Leeuwarden.

Members automatically join the NTFU cycling federation, with access to bicycle and clothing damage insurance, magazine subscriptions, discounts on NTFU tour rides, and federation support and training. Prospective members can join rides for a month before deciding whether to become members
