Fifth Estate

Fifth Estate is an independent radical publishing project with roots dating to 1965. From an anarchist and anti-authoritarian perspective, the magazine explores politics, culture, society, and resistance, with recurring attention to capitalism, technology, civilization, racism, patriarchy, the environment, and music. Its print edition combines essays, reviews, interviews, poetry, fiction, and art, alongside coverage of books and ideas relevant to its readership. The publication also maintains resource pages on subjects including the Vietnam War and the Spanish Revolution of 1936–1939, highlighting resistance movements and anarchist history.
