About Global Network Against Food Crises
The Global Network Against Food Crises (GNAFC) is a collaborative alliance of humanitarian and development organizations dedicated to addressing the root causes of food crises worldwide. Launched by the European Union, FAO, and WFP at the 2016 World Humanitarian Summit, GNAFC aims to bridge the gap between development and humanitarian efforts by fostering shared analysis, coordination, and collective action across the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace nexus.
Through evidence-based analysis and strategic interventions, GNAFC works to implement country resilience programs and support food crisis countries in achieving the Zero Hunger goal of the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. With a strong focus on partnership building and coordination, GNAFC leverages the expertise of founding members like FAO, WFP, and UNICEF to deliver impactful solutions to complex challenges like poverty, climate variability, conflict, and data quality within food crisis contexts.
