EDF

The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the most pressing environmental challenges since its inception in 1967. Founded by a group of scientists and a lawyer in New York, EDF initially sought to ban harmful pesticides but has since grown into one of the leading environmental authorities globally. With a mission anchored in science and economic principles, the organization advocates for solutions that mitigate climate change, protect ecosystems, and promote sustainable practices across various sectors.

EDF’s comprehensive portfolio includes initiatives to cut methane emissions, transition to cleaner energy, and promote sustainable agriculture and fishing. They actively engage in policy advocacy and partnerships, focusing on climate justice and economic sustainability. By harnessing the power of research and collaboration, EDF supports communities in building resilience against climate impacts while committing to diversity and inclusion in their approach. As a vital force for environmental change, EDF empowers everyone to contribute to a healthier planet.
