About FIHR
FIHR, the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation, is the first association established in Romanian tourism, with the aim of representing the interests of hoteliers in the country. As a prominent industry organization, FIHR serves as a representative body, advocating for hoteliers in their interactions with central public authorities, including the Ministry of Tourism. By being a member of FIHR, hoteliers have the opportunity to communicate the most important issues facing the industry to the authorities.
Joining FIHR offers numerous direct benefits to hoteliers, including access to a network of approved suppliers, which allows for more affordable and industry-verified procurement channels. Additionally, FIHR can provide support in securing funding through various avenues such as EU funds, lines of credit, and SME schemes. The association also plays a crucial role in shaping Romania's educational system in the tourism sector and can offer scholarships to promising young professionals.
FIHR strives to keep its members informed about local and international industry trends, providing them with privileged access to networking events, seminars, conferences, and relevant information. The organization also advocates for hoteliers' interests in maintaining a simple and efficient legal framework, as well as a favorable tax regime. Furthermore, FIHR promotes the development of the market by endorsing an updated classification system and supporting direct booking campaigns.
As an active promoter of Romanian tourism, FIHR encourages its members to prioritize national tourism and supports initiatives that benefit the community. By participating in this organization, hoteliers have the opportunity to share their expertise and support the development of an ethical, moral, fair, and efficient industry. FIHR fosters a sense of unity, aiming to create a harmonious hospitality community where everyone thrives.
