About Filaret
Filaret is a green-tech brand with a mission to give cigarette butts a second life through innovative solutions. They collect and upcycle cigarette butt waste, transforming it into a sustainable, compostable, and nature-friendly 3D printing filament. By doing so, Filaret addresses the waste problem on both ends.
Filaret organizes the collection of cigarette butt waste by renting and selling their branded cigarette bins, as well as collaborating with partners and individuals who want to contribute to their upcycling process. They separate the filter part from the cigarette butts, detoxify and wash it, and then blend it with additives and other nature-friendly polymers, which are their secret ingredients. The mixture is melted to produce compostable plastic granules, which are then transformed into 3D printing material or filament.
