MI Fillet Finder Charters

Fillet Finder Charters provides guided fishing trips across Michigan’s waters, helping guests enjoy seasonal fishing adventures with experienced captain Brian Schlaack. The service operates on the Detroit River from March through May, targeting opportunities in this well-known fishery. In August and September, trips move to Lake Michigan for salmon, while October and early November outings in Northern Michigan focus on walleye and perch.

Captain Brian brings more than 25 years of chartering experience and a lifelong passion for fishing. Having fished throughout Michigan for species ranging from walleye to salmon, he shares his local knowledge and works to help guests get on the fish. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100 gross ton Master License and has extensive experience navigating Great Lakes waters. His team placed third in the Michigan Walleye Tour on the Detroit River in April 2024.
