About Filmaktiv
Filmaktiv is a non-profit organization founded in 2004, consisting of creative and dynamic individuals with a goal to develop independent culture and promote social change through informal education, production, and promotion of audiovisual culture and art. They prioritize human rights and freedom of expression in their work. They offer various educational programs, including workshops in Rijeka and on islands, as well as specialized educational programs that have benefited young people from all over Croatia.
Filmaktiv also produces documentaries, animated and experimental films, as well as video works that result from their workshops. Additionally, they actively promote quality films through organizing festivals, screenings, and film discussions, showcasing both foreign and domestic productions. Filmaktiv is open to collaborations with other organizations, institutions, individuals, and the public and private sectors.
They actively collaborate with related associations in Rijeka and Croatia on various projects, providing technical support and partnership. Filmaktiv is committed to using the data provided through their communication forms to keep in touch with their audience and share updates with them
