Final Journey Home

Final Journey Home Netherlands (FJH) is a member-owned solidarity association for people connected to Cameroon who live in the Netherlands. It brings community members together to organise financial support for a member’s family after a death, helping to ease the practical and financial burden of loss. The family remains in control of the farewell and can choose burial in the Netherlands or repatriation to Cameroon.

FJH uses a shared-contribution model: participating members contribute toward a verified support campaign, with each person’s approximate share depending on the approved target and the number of members taking part. The association explains how campaigns work, how contributions are calculated, and how its funds and responsibilities are governed. It also provides membership information, registration, guidance on the six-month qualifying period, and a private way to report a bereavement.

FJH describes itself as community support, not insurance, and does not guarantee a fixed benefit. It is registered as a Dutch association with the KVK and invites members to build a prepared, compassionate network before support is needed.
