About Finance in Common
Finance in Common is a global network of Public Development Banks (PDBs) that aims to align financial flows with the 2030 Agenda and Paris Agreement for Climate Change. They work to strengthen partnerships among PDBs and promote shared standards and best practices. The objective is to encourage banks to shift their strategies towards sustainability and increase their visibility in global policy discussions.
By mobilizing PDBs and stakeholders from the private sector to civil society organizations, Finance in Common promotes a coherent approach to development finance that aligns with climate and sustainability objectives. They offer a range of services, including a community of practice where PDBs can collaborate on major issues, participation in high-level global events, and a marketplace for sharing practices and co-financing opportunities. Additionally, they have created a comprehensive database on PDBs and Development Financing Institutions to fill the gap in identifying these institutions and collecting relevant data.
