Finding Families

Finding Families is a professional genealogy and DNA research service based in Stockton-on-Tees, England, with an international team that investigates family histories around the world. Its researchers help people seeking answers about their origins or hoping to reconnect with relatives, drawing on genealogical expertise, records and DNA evidence. The team has helped clients identify birth parents, grandparents, siblings and other biological relatives, including in complex cases with limited information.

Services include DNA genealogy to trace known and unknown biological family members, research into missing people and relatives who have lost contact, and support locating known birth parents using information from adoption intermediaries. Finding Families also assesses whether clients may be eligible for an Irish passport. The website shares case studies, client testimonials, podcasts, films and practical resources that offer insight into family searches and the research process. For people beginning a search or looking for help with a longstanding family mystery, the team invites them to get in touch and discuss their situation.
