Finding Grandpa is a professional genealogy research service that helps people discover and document their family history. Its approach recognizes that ancestors are more than names on a page, using historical records and other evidence to bring family stories to life. Research may include ship manifests, newspaper articles, birth, marriage and death records, military files, probate records, and maps showing where ancestors lived.
The service supports customers at different stages of their family-history journey. For beginners, Finding Grandpa can create a family tree, which customers can then continue researching themselves or expand with professional help. For those with an existing tree, the service can verify relationships, investigate missing or incorrect details, and search for additional ancestors. It also helps researchers who have reached a dead end by looking for clues about an ancestor’s origins and immediate family.
Finding Grandpa aims to keep genealogy research affordable and offers free estimates tailored to each project.
