Finnish Warmblood

FWB Association (Finnish Warmblood Association) is a Finnish organisation dedicated to developing the breeding of Finnish Warmblood riding horses. Founded in 1926, it has evolved from an organisation focused on warmblood breeding for sporting and military purposes into a modern association supporting healthy, athletic, versatile horses with good temperaments. Its work includes promoting breeding and development of the Finnish Warmblood, supporting members, and strengthening their skills as horse breeders. The association is a community member of Suomen Hippos and the Finnish Equestrian Federation, and maintains connections with European breeding organisations, equestrian-sector groups and research institutions.

FWB Association supports breeders through events, evaluations and competitions for young horses, including breeding assessments, the Breeders’ Prize and the five-year-old derby. It also organises the Kyvyt Esiin young-horse programme and recognises successful Finnish sport-horse breeders through an annual award. Members can access association information and activities, while FWB-branded products are also available. The organisation shares competition results, qualification guidance and updates on Finnish Warmblood breeding, and brings its community together through events and celebrations.
