About Finn Provisions
Tail Finn, operating as Finn Provisions, offers guided fly fishing experiences in the Black Hills of South Dakota, with a focus on Spearfish Canyon. Established in 2013, the business welcomes anglers of all abilities, genders, and ages, making its fishing services accessible to a broad range of visitors. Tail Finn is fully permitted and insured and partners with the United States Forest Service.
In addition to guided trips, Finn Provisions runs a fly shop and gallery at 344 North Main Street, Suite 3, in Spearfish. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also hosts fly-tying nights on the first and third Thursdays of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m. Guided outings have limited availability and can be booked through the business. Tail Finn combines local fishing services with a physical shop and opportunities for anglers to gather and practice fly tying.
