FIPAV Basilicata

FIPAV Basilicata is the regional committee dedicated to promoting volleyball in the Basilicata region of Italy. It plays a pivotal role in organizing events and training camps for the various Italian national teams, particularly focusing on youth development. In July 2024, FIPAV Basilicata will host the Italian Women's Under 20 National Team for a training camp at Villa d'Agri, in preparation for the European Championship. This camp will feature intense training sessions and includes scheduled test matches against the Dutch Under 20 team.

The initiative is spearheaded by President Enzo Santomassimo, highlighting the committee’s commitment to fostering young talent and enhancing the region’s reputation as a center of excellence in volleyball. Training sessions will be open to the public and technical coaches, contributing to a vibrant learning environment. FIPAV Basilicata's collaborative relationship with the local municipal administration of Marsicovetere further strengthens its capacity to host these significant events, solidifying its role in both regional sports promotion and the development of future volleyball stars.
