About FIRE
Systems for Environmental Management (SEM) is a nonprofit organization based in Missoula, MT, dedicated to advancing understanding of wildland fire behavior and effects. Since 1977, SEM has been developing free wildland fire management software and documentation in partnership with fire management agencies. Their mission includes conducting research, developing tools, and providing technical transfer through workshops and publications.
