With a commitment of $35 million over the next two years, the Government supports the National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) to bolster national, state, and territory aircraft availability for fire and emergency services. This investment expands the range of aerial assets to include multi-use fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, enhancing protection for communities facing more intense and frequent disasters due to climate change effects.
