FirecrackersDFW

Firecrackers DFW is a girls’ fastpitch softball program serving players in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with teams for ages 8U through 18U. Established in 2011, it was among the first teams to expand from the California-based Firecrackers organization, led by President Tony Rico. Its teams and players are located across DFW, including Dallas, Flower Mound, Allen, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Rowlett, and Mansfield.

The program focuses on developing players socially and athletically through training, competition, and shared team experiences. Its stated values include playing professionally, building self-respect, and respecting others. The organization also promotes “Play with Honor,” a message of gratitude for people who have helped and sacrificed for others, including service members, families, and teachers. Firecrackers DFW supports players through teams, coaching, alumni connections, player spotlights, and recognition of college commitments. Alumni describe the program as a source of lasting friendships, mentorship, teamwork, and personal growth, reflecting its emphasis on development both on and off the field.
