FireGoTo

FireGoTo is an innovative project dedicated to motorizing Dobsonian telescope mounts using accessible components and open-source Arduino technology. Launched in 2015 by Reginaldo Nazar, this initiative aims to empower astronomy enthusiasts to create their own telescope automation systems, enabling seamless Goto and tracking functionalities. The project focuses on user-friendly design, ensuring minimal soldering and low-cost stepper motors while maintaining compatibility with the LX200 communication protocol.

FireGoTo provides comprehensive resources, including a detailed assembly guide, a GitHub repository for code access, and a vibrant community forum for discussions among Brazilian astronomy enthusiasts. The project emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing users to engage in multidisciplinary studies while exploring the wonders of the cosmos. Whether you are a seasoned astronomer or a curious beginner, FireGoTo inspires creativity and self-sufficiency in optical science. Additionally, supporters can help enhance the project's offerings through sponsorship opportunities, ensuring its continued growth and improvement.
