Fire Inside Fitness is a private fitness studio in downtown Shelton, Connecticut, created for busy professionals seeking expert coaching in a welcoming, supportive environment. Led by owner and head coach Jon Shapiro, a NASM-certified trainer since 2010 with specializations in MMA conditioning and behavior change, the studio emphasizes personalized attention, accountability, and programs adapted to each client’s goals, abilities, injuries, and schedule.
Classes are limited to eight people, combining the close guidance of personal training with the energy of a small group. Offerings include beginner-friendly kickboxing with mitt work, bag rounds, strength, and mobility; coach-guided Strength & Sculpt sessions featuring joint-friendly circuits; and one-to-one personal training tailored to individual needs. The studio also provides free trial classes and consultations to help newcomers find a suitable starting point.
Fire Inside Fitness welcomes people at different experience levels and aims to make training engaging, approachable, and free of cliques or judgment. Coaches teach technique, adjust exercises as needed, and offer accountability check-ins to support consistent progress.
