First Feedings

First Feedings is a lactation counseling and infant-feeding support practice serving families in Little Elm, with in-home and telehealth appointments. Its International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, Brianna and Melody, combine specialized clinical experience with a family-centered approach. Brianna is also a licensed speech-language pathologist with expertise in pediatric feeding and swallowing, while Melody is a licensed pediatric physical therapist assistant who applies developmental and neuromuscular principles to care. Together, they support both common and complex feeding needs, including challenges involving oral restrictions, prematurity, and medical or developmental differences.

Services are tailored to each family’s goals and may address breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, combination feeding, milk supply, positioning, feeding comfort, oral function, bottle refusal, and transitions to solid foods. Families can begin with a free phone consultation, followed by personalized appointments, practical care plans, and follow-up guidance. First Feedings also offers a monthly prenatal breastfeeding class at Frisco Birth Center, covering early breastfeeding, hand expression, pump-flange sizing, pumping, and preparation for common challenges.
