About First African Sav
First African Sav is the oldest Black Church in North America, founded in December 1777. Located in Savannah, GA, our church is led by Reverend Thurmond N. Tillman.
At First African Sav, we offer a range of products and services to serve our community. Our history tours provide a unique opportunity to learn about the rich heritage of our church and the African American experience. These tours are available from Tuesday to Saturday at 1:00 pm, and masks are required for the safety of our visitors.
In addition to our tours, we have a vibrant ministry directory that encompasses various areas of service. Our Social Justice Ministry is dedicated to giving a voice to those who need it the most, and we welcome you to be a part of this important work. You can worship with us every Sunday at 10:00 am through our Facebook Live broadcasts.
