First Coast Scuba Diving Inc. provides scuba instruction and certification for learners and divers across Jacksonville and Duval County, St. Augustine, Northeast Florida, and Southeast Georgia.
Owned by instructor Skip Richer, the business offers NAUI certification and training designed to help students explore underwater environments safely and confidently. Courses include Introduction to Scuba Diving, NAUI Open-Water Diver, Advanced Open-Water Diver, Nitrox, and private lessons for hesitant divers. Students complete course materials online at their own pace, then practice equipment setup, diving skills, and safety procedures in a swimming pool before completing open-water training dives.
First Coast emphasizes small classes of up to four students, individualized attention, flexible scheduling, and more than five years of diver-training experience. Training costs include course materials, fees, and rental equipment, with no hidden charges. The company also offers specialized instruction for divers seeking to develop their skills further.
Whether taking a first step toward certification or building experience, students receive guidance from an experienced instructor in controlled pool sessions and Florida open water
