First Light Guiding

First Light Guiding, led by experienced mountain guide Gavin Lang, specializes in transformative mountaineering experiences throughout the breathtaking Southern Alps of New Zealand. Since 2004, Gavin has been dedicated to helping adventurers achieve their mountaineering goals, blending physical challenges with coaching and self-development techniques. This unique approach ensures clients grow not only in their climbing skills but also in their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The signature course, "Self Mastery through Mountaineering," offers participants a profound journey that extends beyond physical climbing, integrating personal discovery and life balance. Gavin’s extensive qualifications, including outdoor recreation leadership and psychosomatic therapy, enhance the guiding experience, enabling clients to thrive in one of the world’s most stunning terrains. Based in the picturesque town of Wanaka, First Light Guiding is more than a guiding service; it’s a holistic adventure that inspires individuals to embrace life’s challenges on and off the mountain. Whether you're looking to develop skills or simply explore the beauty of New Zealand, First Light Guiding is ready to elevate your experience.
