Fischereiverband Mittelfranken e.V.

Fischereiverband Mittelfranken e.V. is a regional fishing association in Middle Franconia, Germany, with roots dating to 1881. Its stated mission is to improve aquatic habitats and promote biodiversity. The association supports member clubs and anglers, shares information on its responsibilities and activities, and provides access to its offices at the Haus der Fischerei.

Its website offers practical services for fishing communities and visitors, including a club directory, membership application information, forms, funding applications, and guidance on fishing regulations. Anglers can find waterway rules and details about annual and online day permits for lakes and waterways across the region, including the Altmühlsee, Brombach lakes, Rothsee, Happurger waters, Wöhrder See, and Main-Danube Canal. The association also publishes updates about access restrictions, water conditions, stocking, and conservation-related closures.

Further resources include youth fishing information and activities, training and events, awards, an otter reporting service, and materials for clubs. Through these offerings, Fischereiverband Mittelfranken connects recreational fishing with responsible fishery management, habitat care, and community education.
