Fischereiverband Saar Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts

Fischereiverband Saar is a public-law organization representing and supporting recreational fishing and those involved in the sport across the German state of Saarland. It promotes responsible, nature-conscious fishing while advising fisheries authorities on relevant matters. Its work focuses on the care and management of fish populations, protecting aquatic environments and surrounding nature, and preserving habitats and ecological communities in rivers, waterside areas, and wetlands.

The Verband also supports its members through advice, training, courses, and educational programs, with particular attention to young people. It offers preparation courses for the fishing examination and provides training in areas such as fly fishing, fisheries supervision, and water management. In addition, it contributes to fisheries-related public responsibilities under Saarland law and works to prevent harmful impacts on fish and their habitats.

Its website shares information on membership, regulations, events, and current issues, including fishery management and fishing courses. The organization also lists services and resources related to permits, aquatic vegetation removal, and sediment removal.
