Fischereiverein Wildeshausen

Fischereiverein Wildeshausen e.V. von 1902 is a fishing association based in Wildeshausen, Germany, with more than 1,800 members. It brings people together through recreational angling, shared events and activities for adults and young people. Members can take part in a varied calendar of fishing meetups, including seasonal, night, predator-fish and friendly competitions, as well as work days and environmental activities. Conservation is a central part of the club’s work. Since 1999, in partnership with the Weser-Ems State Fisheries Association and the Middle Hunte Fishing and Stocking Community, it has supported the return of salmon and sea trout to the Hunte river system. The club operates its own hatchery to raise young fish for release into suitable streams, helping supplement populations where natural reproduction is insufficient.
