About FishEUTrust
FishEUTrust is a brand that is dedicated to revolutionizing the seafood industry through innovation and sustainable practices. The brand aims to establish five Co-creation Living Labs in the Mediterranean Basin, the North Sea, and the Atlantic Sea, which will serve as platforms for innovation, process validation, and the demonstration of supply chain solutions. These solutions include creating sustainable business models, protecting cultural and culinary heritage, promoting short food supply chains, and fostering engagement activities to stimulate positive consumer behavior.
In addition, FishEUTrust will develop cutting-edge tools to maximize trust in seafood products by guaranteeing their quality, safety, and traceability. These tools will utilize smart control systems, metagenomics, genetic biomarkers, isotopic techniques, and labeling/product passport/blockchain technologies. All of these advancements will be integrated into a single digital FishEUTrust data platform.
