Fishing For the Fight

Fishing For the Fight is a community-focused organization in Sublette County and LaBarge, Wyoming, that brings people together through an annual fly-fishing tournament and fundraiser. Its mission is to support local families facing cancer or chronic illness and people with special needs. The event combines guided fishing, community gatherings, and fundraising to help turn challenging circumstances into opportunities for support.

The 10th annual tournament is scheduled for July 15–18, 2026. Activities include a Wednesday meet-and-greet, fishing on Thursday and Friday, and a Saturday banquet; an extra day has been added for 2026. The organization also shares event results, photos, videos, and stories from supporters, survivors, and family members.

In addition to tournament participation, Fishing For the Fight offers ways to apply for support, sponsor the event, donate, or register a team. It works with fishing guides, sponsors, river patrons, and community supporters to advance its charitable purpose. By pairing outdoor recreation with fundraising and local assistance, Fishing For the Fight serves residents of Sublette County and LaBarge while raising awareness of the families and individuals it seeks to help.
