Finnish Software Measurement Association FiSMA ry

FiSMA ry, the Finnish Software Measurement Association, is an independent community of companies, educational institutions, public-sector bodies and other organizations interested in measuring the efficiency and quality of software work. Its purpose is to advance the quality and measurability of software production and systems design, supporting better management and stronger competitiveness among its members.

The association provides a forum for interaction, shared learning and discussion of current topics. Its activities include themed events and professional forums such as Scope Manager Forum, SPIN and Research Forum. FiSMA also takes an active part in international ISO/IEC standardization in information technology, helping improve awareness of IT standards and encourage their use in Finland.

FiSMA offers training related to measurement, standards and assessment models; some courses provide an opportunity for individual certification. The association also organizes seminars, meetings and other member activities, and shares expertise through articles, blogs and newsletters. Membership is available to both organizations and individuals, bringing together businesses, public administration, research and education communities focused on improving software development practices.
