FIVE FROGS WOODWORKING

Five Frogs Woodworking specializes in custom, hand-cut wooden jigsaw puzzles, each made to be a distinctive experience. No two puzzles are identical: even when an image is used again, the piece count and shapes vary, and, aside from figurals, no two pieces in a puzzle are the same. The thicker wooden pieces offer a solid feel in the hand and may be easier to pick up for people with stiff fingers than thin cardboard pieces.

Customers can request figurals: specially shaped pieces related to the puzzle image or meaningful to the person who ordered it. The maker’s signature figural is a frog, which is initialed and dated, with the puzzle’s piece count recorded on it. The site also shares Puzzling Thoughts, including posts about puzzle construction, materials, techniques, and current projects. In addition to its custom puzzle work, Five Frogs Woodworking features a sales section and information about its construction process, giving puzzle enthusiasts insight into the craft behind each one.
