About Five Lamps Arts Festival
Five Lamps Arts Festival is a beloved and highly regarded brand in Dublin, centered in the heart of the community in the North East Inner City. Established in 2007 by Roisin Lonergan, a teacher from Marino College, our festival aims to put culture, creativity, and diversity at the forefront of the area's regeneration efforts. We work year-round with local residents and professional artists to create and showcase artistically ambitious works that are relevant to the community.
Our vision is to ensure that all residents of Dublin's North East Inner City have access to and can actively participate in arts, culture, and creativity. Our mission focuses on fostering widespread appreciation and engagement in these areas throughout the community. Led by our dedicated and passionate team, including Artistic Director Róisín Lonergan, Project Manager Marcela Parducci, Media Producer/Graphic Designer Eduardo Nogueira, and Communications specialist Maria Valencia, we strive to create a vibrant and inclusive arts scene.
We are supported by a committed board consisting of individuals such as Deirdre Flannery, Michael Rafferty, Maeve Foreman, Claire McGowran, and Pia Polotto, who bring diverse backgrounds and expertise to our organization. The Five Lamps Arts Festival showcases various art forms such as literature, dance, music, visual art, and theatre, celebrating the landmark and the surrounding community. Through our events, projects, workshops, and publishing initiatives, we aim to engage, inspire, and unite the community through the power of the arts.
