FxTC Core, or Fixed Trade Coin, is a cryptocurrency project built around a digital coin intended for payments for goods and services. Its software is based on Bitcoin Core 0.18 and incorporates features from Dash Core 0.12, including masternodes, InstantSend and PrivateSend, alongside SegWit, transaction-fee updating and blockchain pruning. The project also describes plans to extend the platform with decentralized exchange and other masternode-operated applications.

FxTC uses proof-of-work mining across six algorithms: sha256d, scrypt, nist5, lyra2z, x11 and x16r. Its design includes dynamic block and masternode rewards, adjustable masternode collateral, and difficulty controls intended to support block production across changing mining conditions. The project provides downloadable wallet software for Windows, Ubuntu and Mac OS X, as well as source code and links to blockchain explorers, community channels and mining pools. Masternode operators and miners are central to its network model, with rewards varying according to the protocol’s parameters. FxTC also publishes coin information and a transparency report covering designated project funds.
