Fjeldskaar

Fjeldskaar. com is a family-history website documenting the Aanensen and Fjeldskaar families of southern Norway through text, photographs, family trees and historical context. Created by Willy Fjeldskaar, a grandson of Josefine Amalie Aanensen and Johan Kornelius Fjeldskaar, the site traces their ancestors and descendants, including the families of Tomine Sørensdatter and Aanen Aanensen, and Karen Gurine Berentsdtr and Johan Enok Villumsen Fjeldskaar.

It follows the story of Amalie and Kornelius, who married in America in 1906, while seeking to bring the people behind the names and dates to life. The material explores where relatives lived, their marriages, children and occupations, and the social conditions that shaped their experiences. It also presents genealogical branches reaching back to figures such as the 16th-century priest and writer Peder Clausen Friis, as well as older Norwegian lineages.

Visitors can browse family-specific pages, ancestry charts, historical records, sources and photographs, alongside local sayings from Søndre Undal. The site is a resource for family members and anyone interested in regional genealogy and history
