FKEC

Florida Keys Electric Cooperative (FKEC) is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility serving residents and businesses in the Upper and Middle Florida Keys. With 85 years in business, 115 employees, and more than 34,000 meters, the cooperative provides electric service and a range of programs designed to support members and their communities. Members can manage accounts online, pay bills, arrange service starts, transfers or disconnections, and access billing information and assistance.

FKEC also offers residential rebates, energy-saving guidance, green power options, a solar loan program, net metering information, and support for new construction and remodeling. Additional services include outdoor lighting, tree trimming, mulch delivery, generator loans and connections, and surge protection. The cooperative helps members prepare for and respond to outages through outage maps, reporting, safety resources, storm updates, and text notifications.

Its community initiatives include Operation Round Up and the FKEC Members Charitable Trust, while capital credits return a share of cooperative value to members. FKEC serves the Keys through offices in Tavernier and Marathon
