About FK Spartaks
FK SPARTAKS Jūrmala is a renowned Latvian football club based in Jurmala City. Established in 2007, the club currently competes in the prestigious Latvian Higher Football League known as "OPTIBET Virslīga." With a rich history, FK Spartak has earned the title of Latvian champions twice.
The club's journey began with an impressive victory in the 2nd league during its inaugural season. In 2011, FK Spartak secured the runner-up position in the 1st league, earning them a spot in the highly competitive "Virslīga." Despite being relative newcomers, FK Spartak showcased exceptional performance in their debut season in "Virslīga," finishing in 5th place amidst respected contenders.
In 2016, the club emerged as champions after a remarkable triumph over FK "RFS" at the Arkādija Stadium. They repeated their success in the 2017 season, clinching their second title after a victorious encounter with FK "Liepāja/MOGO." Since 2015, FK Spartak has represented Latvia in official UEFA tournaments, competing against formidable teams from Montenegro, Serbia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, San Marino, and Lithuania.
