About FLAAR Mesoamérica
FLAAR Mesoamérica is a prominent brand in the field of research, photography, and education. With a focus on Mesoamerica, particularly in areas like Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz, Izabal, and Peten, FLAAR is dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage and environment of this region. As an extension of the non-profit institution FLAAR located in the United States, FLAAR Mesoamérica comprises a diverse team of professionals and students from various disciplines.
Led by Dr. Nicholas Hellmuth, an archaeologist and photographer, the team includes graphic designers, engineers, biologists, photographers, and explorers. Their projects involve documenting and capturing the rich biodiversity of Guatemala's protected areas through high-resolution photography.
These stunning photographs are used to generate educational material and reports on their platforms, as well as being donated to relevant authorities and institutions. FLAAR Mesoamérica has successfully collaborated with government institutions for larger projects, such as the Yaxhá Project and the Livingston Project. They conduct expeditions in the field to gather information and subsequently process it with the help of their research team.
Reports are prepared by designers, and the material is shared through their website and social media platforms. With their extensive experience and expertise in digital imaging, FLAAR Mesoamérica also offers advice and training to organizations interested in educational and research initiatives. Additionally, they have developed projects focused on documenting the biodiversity and cultural heritage of the Mesoamerica region.
Overall, FLAAR Mesoamérica is committed to promoting the conservation of the environment and cultural heritage while providing valuable insights through their research and educational materials
