Flagmingos de Balma

Flagmingos is a nonprofit sports association based in Balma, near Toulouse in France’s Occitanie region. Founded in 2019, it promotes flag football, a fast-paced, strategic team sport adapted from American football. Instead of tackling, players stop the ball carrier by removing a flag worn at the waist, making the game non-contact and accessible to people of different ages and experience levels. The club welcomes girls and boys, women and men, with the sport available from age seven and no prior experience required.

Flagmingos offers opportunities to play for fun or compete, with mixed teams, a women’s team, youth teams and adult recreational and competition options. Members can take part in year-round training, national championships, tournaments and special events. Newcomers can book a free, no-obligation introductory session; equipment is provided for the two-hour discovery experience. Those ready to join can apply for a season licence affiliated with the French Federation of American Football.
