Flame Con is the world’s largest LGBTQ+ comic convention, created to celebrate queer creativity, fandom, and community. A venture of Geeks OUT, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rallying, empowering, and promoting the queer geek community, the event has grown from a one-day gathering into a two-day convention. In 2026, Flame Con moves to the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, bringing attendees together for inclusive programming and community connection.

The convention offers a broad range of activities and experiences, including panels, cosplay contests and runway events, a Gaymer Lounge, bookselling, exhibitors, community tables, and opportunities to meet featured guests. Its program highlights creators across comics, illustration, writing, animation, and voice acting. Attendees can also explore after-events, including Fireball and Campfire, and take part in micro-mentorship opportunities such as portfolio reviews and Q&As with industry professionals. Flame Con provides accessibility and anti-harassment information, volunteer opportunities, and resources for exhibitors and panelists. Through its annual event and year-round updates, it creates a welcoming space for queer fans, artists, and allies to connect and share their interests.
