Un acontecimiento cultural que sirviera de motor creativo y escaparate de las distintas estéticas que conviven en el flamenco. Con esa idea, y con el propósito de recuperar el nombre y la obra del navarro Agustín Castellón Campos “Sabicas”, nació en 2014 el Festival Flamenco On Fire, un evento más que consolidado en la agenda del verano. Cada año, artistas consagrados y figuras emergentes actúan en Navarra para celebrar la vitalidad de este género que está en continua evolución.

Flamenco On Fire is a cultural festival founded in 2014 to celebrate flamenco as a sophisticated, universal art and a living genre in constant evolution. Created in tribute to the Navarre-born guitarist Agustín Castellón Campos, known as Sabicas, the event brings established performers and emerging artists together across Navarra each summer. Its programme spans Pamplona, Viana and Estella-Lizarra, combining major theatre and auditorium concerts with performances in intimate and unusual settings, including balconies, streets, patios and historic venues.
The festival presents flamenco singing, guitar and dance, alongside projects that connect the tradition with other musical influences. Complementary activities include audiovisual and sound-art initiatives, talks, workshops and family programming, as well as events exploring flamenco’s cultural connections.
