Flanders Literature

Flanders Literature is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the visibility of Flanders' rich literary heritage on an international scale. By awarding grants to publishers, translators, and festival organizers, the organization plays a pivotal role in the global dissemination of works by Flemish authors and artists. Their support extends to translation grants, enabling foreign publishers to bring Flemish literature to a broader audience, as well as covering travel expenses for authors who wish to promote their translated works abroad.

Through initiatives such as the online portal My Flanders Literature, the organization simplifies the application process for those seeking financial support. In addition to its grant programs, Flanders Literature actively engages with the literary community, featuring news about new translations and author highlights, particularly within the realms of children’s and youth literature, poetry, and various genres. With a focus on connectivity and cultural exchange, Flanders Literature serves as a vital bridge between Flemish writers and the world
