Il Flauto Magico ODV is an Italian volunteer organisation founded in 2001 through collaboration among families, educators and volunteers. It supports children with trisomy 21 and their families through educational and relational experiences designed to encourage inclusion, autonomy, connection and shared growth. The organisation also brings together volunteers, scout groups and specialists who want to contribute to meaningful, responsible relationships.
At the heart of its work is the residential Settimana Estiva, a community week held in Vicoforte at Casa Regina Montis Regalis. Children and families spend time together in a supportive setting, taking part in moments of sharing, conversation and relationship-building with the help of volunteers and professionals. The week offers families a change from everyday routines and a chance to strengthen connections within a wider community.
Flauto Magico also welcomes new volunteers and invites supporters to contribute to its mission, including through donations and Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation. Its work is guided by the belief that every child deserves genuine opportunities for connection and every family should feel part of a community.
